Junior High (7th-8th)
Student Life at BCS!
BCS students lead active and enriching lives!
During our students’ junior high years, Bethel provides special opportunities for the development of community spirit and the enrichment of their education, forming lifelong memories along the way. Here are just a few of the many activities we offer:
Our annual Retreat on Campus serves as an ice-breaking team builder where new junior high students get a taste of our student life Bethel and everyone has time to bond with their classes through a day of fun activities.
Annual Christmas Bash & Talent Contest
After a challenging semester, our junior high unwinds at the annual Christmas party, with music, light-hearted competition, and plenty of good cheer!
Students get fancy for this formal event, which gives students the chance to socialize and practice being ladies and gentlemen at an off-campus venue.
Each year is "wrapped up" with a fun-filled day of games, competitions, water fights and food. It's one last chance to enjoy Bethel's student life and spend time with classmates before summer break.
ACSI Creative Writing Festival
Writing is yet another way of creating and expressing artistic gifts! In the ACSI Creative Writing Festival, young writers' work is evaluated by judges, with superior works in each division and category advancing to the regional level. Select poems, essays, and short stories are even published! Also see Junior High Arts.
Drama Production (8th)
The 8th grade drama class culminates in the production of a play, which is performed for the elementary students. Also see Junior High Arts.
Athletics & Intramurals
Junior high athletics and intramurals gives students the opportunity to learn valuable skills and build character, all while working on building physical fitness into their lives! Also see Junior High Athletics.
Caring Christian Teachers
Our teachers at Bethel all aim to live out their Christian faith with authenticity and passion. Their example and love for students spills over, both in the classroom and out. Students are always welcome to ask questions or seek guidance from any of their teachers.
At each grade level, students participate in a Bible class that teaches them about God's Word and His character and plans.
Chapels & Assemblies
Throughout the school year, our junior high students have to opportunity to be challenged in chapels by a variety of speakers to live lives of purpose and committment to God. Students also participate in team-building class competitions, pep rallies, and enrichment assemblies.
Students have the opportunity to participate in service opportunities and projects, such as Operation Christmas Child, collections for the local homeless shelter, or fundraisers for disaster relief.
