Activities

Our Preschool and Kindergarten students stay active and engaged, participating in a variety of educational and enriching activities throughout the school year.

Captain Carl's Mobile Tide Pool
Baby sharks, starfish, eels! Sea cucumbers, sponges, crabs! You never know what you’re find – and touch! – at Captain Carl’s mobile tide pool. This on-site “field trip” provides exciting hands-on learning for students. Captain Carl gives students a unique experience of marine life.

School Carnival
Age-appropriate games and activities are planned for a fun day for our young students.  The junior/senior high school Student Council and parent volunteers help with the event.  Each student receives a prize bag and special snacks.

Art Festival
It's time for each student's creativity to shine! Available to our students in preschool through eighth grade, Bethel hosts an annual art fair. Every student participates, then sees his or her "masterpiece" displayed with pride. The festival includes an “Art Parade” and awards for outstanding artists.

Jog-A-Thon
Encourage healthy habits and help equip your classroom! Jog-A-Thon is our annual fundraising event each October.  Students have a period of time to obtain pledges, then participate in the Run Day. Each student participating receives a Jog-a-Thon T-shirt, and prizes are awarded for different category winners (most laps run, most pledges collected, etc.)  Funds raised are used to enhance technology and learning in the classrooms.

Missions Chapel
Even the youngest Bethel students broaden their horizons, learning and caring about the lives and souls of others. Special guests share about missions and special ministries our school can support and become involved with.   A different country or outreach is brought into focus each year. Students bring Missions Offerings each Monday to chapel - and 100% a delivered to missionaries or ministry groups.

Grandparents Day
Grandparents are invited to join their grandchild(ren) in their classrooms  for a special activity and snack.  It is a joyful experience for all!

Harvest Day
Hay rides! Farm animals! Pumpkin Patch!  Harvest Craft!  A day filled with fun and outside activities to welcome fall.

Holiday Chapels
Months of learning and practice are showcased as our students sing seasonal songs, recite poems and share scripture verses.  Kindergarten students host the Thanksgiving Chapel, and three- and four-year-old preschool students participate in the Christmas Chapel. Preschool AND Kindergarten perform for the Easter Chapel in the spring. Parents and family members are invited to attend!

Drive-in Movie Day
Preschool and Kindergarten students design and make a cardboard box car with their parents.  Students “drive” their cars to the gym for popcorn and a movie!

Mother’s Day Tea & Dad’s Day T-Ball
Moms and Dads are invited to school for their own special day with their child.  Moms are invited to a special program and tea.  Dads play T-ball and have a barbecue lunch with their child.  We love our parents!

Circus Day
A fun way to celebrate the last day of the school year.  Games, activities, bouncer, and prizes galore.

Kindergarten Promotion
A time of small endings and great beginnings. Celebrate with your student the accomplishments of kindergarten in this ceremony to recognize successfully completing the kindergarten program and advancement to a new department (elementary).  Small steps across the platform...large steps toward future achievements!
