Chapel Ministry
The Chapel Ministry class
is made up of high school students who have expressed the desire to
serve Christ with their lives and to serve the student body throughout
the school year. The class is most visible in Junior/Senior High
Chapel, where they provide music and technical support, as well as
special chapels, announcements, and skits. Additionally, the team takes
on other ministry projects during the year, according to the needs
around them and the skills they each represent. Some projects the group
has adopted include charity drives, fundraisers for needy children or
unexpected medical expenses, assistance with yard work for disabled
people, and even provision of care packages to sick kids. One of the
group’s favorite undertakings has always been playing for the
worship time in elementary chapels, something they love to do whenever
possible!
Chapel Ministry team meets
on a regular basis for music rehearsals, planning, prayer, and
spiritual guidance. There is no musical requirement for participation
in the group, just a genuine desire to serve in whatever way possible,
and a willingness to sacrifice that extra hour of sleep! Truly, this is
a hands-on course in servant-leadership, the lessons of which students
are not likely to soon forget.
