Computer Lab

The Bethel computer lab features twenty-five desktop computers that were installed in 2011.  Featuring Windows 7 and Pentium dual-core processors, the computer lab is capable of running myriad programs designed to engage students and assist them on the path to computing proficiency.

Lower Elementary (1st-3rd)

Computer studies in lower elementary focus on learning the fundamentals of computer usage, including computing history, terminology and function of computer components, and mouse and keyboard usage.  Introductions to word processing, through Microsoft Word, and drawing, using Microsoft Paint, provide students with groundwork for essential skills.  Basic internet use and search skills are also introduced, enabling students to get a head start on the keys to research on the most expansive library the world has ever known.  Students also observe Internet Safety Month to learn valuable lessons about how to keep themselves safe while using the internet.

Upper Elementary (4th-6th)

In upper elementary, students delve into more advanced functions of the Microsoft Office suite, including the use of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  In the sixth grade, students even get to design a robot.
